Ashcourt aggregates service York Train Station

We are proud to have been part of the recent York train station works as John Sisk & Son Ltd & S Evans & Sons Ltd started the demolition of the Queen Street bridge, which is part of a wider project for the station to transform and create a new gateway to the city. The bridge demolition will reveal more of York’s historic wall to showcase the city’s heritage and introduce new welcoming public spaces for everyone.

Working closely with both contractors, our aggregates team had ten wagons on return for nearly 24 hours over two weekends delivering aggregates and providing muck away services during the bridge demolition.
Over the past two weekends we have delivered over 300 tonnes of aggregates and removed 3,000 tonnes of muck away to our Pocklington depot.

For the project in total, we have delivered the following:
· 700 tonnes of slag mot type 1
· 900 tonnes of non-hazardous spoil
· 100 tonnes of type 1 mot granite
· Four loads of hardcore

Great work from everyone involved in this local project
